Endless Mountains
gouache, acrylic, watercolor & charcoal on paper, 19”X24”
This series represents a years long investigation of a particular moment through the Appalachian Mountain Range in New York State, completed in 2019. Used as a metaphoric conduit for transition, memory and personal reflection, the series plays off the artists recurring fascination with the allegorical potentialities contained within the landscape. They represent everyone’s journey, everyone’s challenge: they are a visual notebook recording the gesture of remembrance.
